He-Man is coming to Netflix

He-Man first appeared on TV screens in 1983 and lasted for two seasons 

Netflix is bringing back popular 80’s cartoon He-Man with filmmaker Kevin Smith at the helm.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation, a Netflix original anime series will continue from where the cartoon concluded.

In a statement, Smith said he was grateful to Mattel TV and Netflix for entrusting him with not only the secrets of Grayskull but also the entire universe. "In Revelation, we pick up right where the classic era left off to tell an epic tale of what may be the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor! This is the Masters of the Universe story you always wanted to see as a kid!"

"The war for Eternia begins again! Superstar director Kevin Smith continues the original series' story right where it left off in Masters of the Universe: Revelation, a new series telling the epic tale of what may be He-Man and Skeletor's final battle," Netflix tweeted on Sunday.

First appearing on television screens in 1983, the animated show centred on He-Man whose true identity was Prince Adam of Eternia. The show lasted for two seasons of 65 episodes each.
