'The Donkey King' all set to dazzle audience in Spain

Geo Films's first animated film ‘The Donkey King’ is all set to charm audience in Spain with its highly anticipated release scheduled next month.

“I am delighted that 'The Donkey King', after ruling Pakistan and conquering Korea, is set to become Pakistan’s first film ever to have theatrical release in Spain and Catalonia on October 4, 2019,” director Aziz Jindani shared in a recent interview.

Jindani further added that the film will be released in three languages including Spanish, Catalan and Basque in order to cater to a large number of people.

“Plan is to have more than 50 screens on release day across all key cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Malaga, etc.,” he said.

The writer-director also revealed that also intends to explore other international avenues to release his film.

A production of Geo Films, political satire ‘The Donkey King’ garnered a whopping Rs24.75 at the local box office after successfully running in the cinemas for 25 weeks.

Featuring voiceovers from eminent artists like Jan Rambo, Ismail Tara, Hina Dilpazeer, Ghulam Mohiuddin and Jawed Sheikh, the movie follows the story of a donkey named Mangu who becomes king by chance.
