LAHORE: Two minor boys were abducted from the city's Manga Mandi area, police confirmed on Thursday, saying they had registered a first information report (FIR) regarding the kidnapping and commenced a search for the children.

According to police, ninth-grader Shahzeb and sixth-grader Abdul Rehman, 13, were kidnapped from Manga Mandi's Pir Colony neighbourhood by unidentified individuals.

The FIRs were filed on behalf of the kidnapped children's parents, police added.

On the other hand, the abducted boys' families have alleged that police have failed to find a lead or any information pertaining to their missing children in the four days since they were kidnapped. They have appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to take notice of the incident.
