Lahore Qalandars' captain Sohail Akhtar says he is hopeful of continuing with his side’s winning when they take on Karachi Kings at Karachi's National Stadium today.

Lahore Qalandars have won three consecutive matches and they are now back in contention to qualify for the play-offs of the tournament. They defeated Karachi Kings by eight wickets when they first met on Sunday.

And, Akhtar is hopeful of repeating the show.

"We have got the momentum and I am confident that we'll continue with that. We have got our combination right and I am looking to continue with that," he said.

"Karachi Kings a good side, they've balance in both the departments. Our aim against them is to restrict them as soon as possible and don't allow them to post the big scores on board," Akhtar said.

Ben Dunk had scored an unbeaten 99 of 40 deliveries while Akhtar had scored 68* off 46 as Qalandars had successfully chased the target of 188 for the loss of two wickets with 5 balls remaining.

Akhtar said the way Dunk played was outstanding and the performance of the Australian batsman has given him some confidence and relief as well.

"It is good to have someone there who's leading the batting aggressively, it is a good sign for the team that Ben Dunk is in great form," he said.

He also expressed his delight at the return of Fakhar Zaman's form and said that he was always confident about the opening batsman's skill and always trusted him to perform.

"Everyone goes through bad patches, Fakhar also had one and he's past it. I am glad that he's regained his form. It is good for him as well," the Qalandar skipper added.
