Aslam Hayat appointed Chairman Karachi Port Trust
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Monday appointed Muhammad Aslam Hayat as Chairman Karachi Port Trust.

The new KPT Chairman is likely to assume charge on December 13. He brings with him varied experience of serving important government positions in different ministries and provincial governments.

Muhammad Aslam Hayat is a LL.M in International Maritime Law from International Maritime Organization and has served as Chairman Gwadar Port Authority for over two years.

He also represented Pakistan at the World Health Organization, IMO (General Assembly Sessions), and International Livestock Research Institute apart from participating in World Bank Crash Course on Education.

Aslam Hayat also worked with the Government of Punjab in the capacity of Member, Board of Revenue, Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development and Director Labour apart from serving with the Federal Government in the capacity of Deputy Secretary and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ports and Shipping for three years.
