ISLAMABAD: In a monthly price review, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has slashed the prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders with effect from Wednesday (December 1).

On Tuesday, the OGRA announced to reduce the price of domestic cylinder (11.8 kg) by Rs168.91 to Rs2,390.44.

The price of domestic cylinder (11.8 kg) was Rs2,559.35 in November.

The prices were reduced following reduction in the production cost also reduced by Rs12,048 metric ton.

In the current month, the LPG will be available at Rs202.57 per kg, which was Rs216.89 per kg in November (last month).

The petroleum levy is being charged Rs4,669 per MT and GST at Rs29,434.68 per MT.

The consumer price is Rs173,145.16 MT and the final price is Rs202,579.84 MT.

The regulatory body stated as per Clause 3.4.5 of the LPG Policy 2016, LPG prices would be regulated with a maximum price at all levels of the supply chain. “However, producers, marketing companies and distributors may sell below the maximum price determined from time to time,” the statement read,
