Piers Morgan is sparking a discussion over his praises on tribute to late sportsman Shane Warne.
Turning to his Twitter on Saturday, the former Good Morning Britain host shared a photo of a bunch of flowers outside Shane's statue.
He wrote: “Amid all the flowers left by Shane Warne’s statue @MCG…
“One fan left a beer can, meat pie & packet of cigarettes. Brilliant,” he added with clapping emojis.
Fans, however, dubbed the gesture disrespectful, since the cricketer passed away of a reported heart attack.
One wrote: “Not sure how appropriate that is for a guy that's had a heart attack."
“The three things that can lead to a heart attack - really what is the point of leaving those?” added another.
“The three things that likely killed him. Genius.” mocked another.
“Smoking kills... Smoking causes strokes, cancer, and heart attacks," a user iterated.
“I'm very sorry that such a remarkable person has died and left a young family. Everyone should read the warning on the pack of cigarettes," one added.
