  • OICCI's annual report says Pakistan is "better than 6 out of 10 regional countries."
  • PM Imran compared OICCI's report published for 2021 with the report for 2019 and suggested that there has been substantial improvement.
  • "According to OICCI, in 2021, 68% viewed accelerating growth in their businesses in the next 2-3 years vs only 27% in 2019," he added.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said that the report by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) shows that the country has progressed under the PTI-led government.

Taking to Twitter, PM Imran compared OICCI's report published for 2021 with the report for 2019 and suggested that there has been substantial improvement.

"They believe Pakistan is better than 6 out of 10 regional countries in 2021 versus 3 out of 10 in 2019," PM Imran wrote.

"According to OICCI, in 2021, 68% viewed accelerating growth in their businesses in the next 2-3 years vs only 27% in 2019," he added, suggesting that businessmen see more opportunities of growth now than they did before.

The OICCI ranked Pakistan's investment opportunities better than six out of ten regional countries in their annual report of 2021. The report was based on the ranking provided by foreign investors in Pakistan.

"Overall, the results show improvement in the investment and operating conditions of Pakistan," said the annual report.
