ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration would hold 9th free pollen allergy relief camp at Aabpara Community Center Islamabad from April 3.
All medicines would be provided free of cost to the allergy patients at the camp. Chief Commissioner, Islamabad, Tariq Mahmood Pirzada said that maximum relief and treatment facilities would be provided to the patients at the camp.
He said that the administration has been holding these free allergy camps since 2003 in pollen allergy season with the active support and co-operation of known allergy experts, philanthropists, chemists of the city and pharmaceutical companies and tens of thousands allergy patients had been benefited from the services of this camp.
He urged philanthropists and chemists to come forward and donate maximum medicines for the patients.
Earlier, Chief Commissioner, Islamabad reviewed and finalized the arrangements for camp at a high level meeting attended by the Director Administration, Ch. Muhammad Ali, Drug Inspector Islamabad, Sardar Shabir Ahmed, known allergy experts, Dr. Osman Yousaf, Dr. Athar Rana, Dr. Zaman, Dr. Nasir Chaudhry, Hakeem Rizwan Hafeez and representatives of pharmaceutical companies and chemists including Genera Pharma, D-Watson, Wilson, Shaheen Chemists, Lifeline, Al-Waqar trading, Pharmanet and Waheed chemists who also announced donation of medicines for the camp.
Timings of the camp would be from 9 am to 4 to pm and it would also be functional on Sunday. Camp would have separate counters for female, male and children patients and three types of treatments facilities would be provided at the camp including homeopath, allopath and Tib-e-unani and it would be up to the patients to opt for any type of treatment facilities. Camp would be functional till the end of pollen count in the air.
Known allergy experts Dr. Osman Yousaf, Dr. Zaman, Dr. Athar Rana, Hakeem Rizwan Hafeez and Dr. Nasir Chaudhary would provide their counseling services for the camp. Medical Officers and para medics of District Health Department Islamabad have been assigned special duties for the camp. (APP)
