Taylor Swift's link with 'Grey's Anatomy' revealed by Ellen Pompeo

Ellen Pompeo recently discussed the success of her show 'Grey's Anatomy' and referenced Taylor Swift's association with it.

The acting sensation sat down for a candid chat with People Magazine for their new Grey’s Anatomy special edition issue.

During this interview, the 54-year-old actress was asked about her views on the super hit series which has released 20 seasons so far.

Speaking her mind about the show’s 'phenomenal' success, the acting sensation declared, “[Creator] Shonda Rhimes is a great writer,” at first.

Mentioning the second reason, she joked, “Second, Taylor Swift named her cat after Meredith Grey!”

As SWIFTIES will know, Taylor Swift has three pet cats, named Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button.

But Ellen quickly retracted her comment and observed, “Just kidding,” before noting, “It is because of our awesome fans,” after which she resigned from the chat. 

For those unversed, the girlfriend of Travis Kelce is a fan of Ellen's show, and named one of her pets after her character, as per the findings of People. 

It is pertinent to mention here that these comments come after the songstress dropped her 11th studio album called, The Tortured Poets Department.
