Bill Gates-founded tech giant Microsoft reportedly suffered a massive blackout of its services that impacted its search engine Bing and artificial intelligence (AI) powered chatbot services and Copilot, reported ZDnet.

Users of Microsoft Bing reported Thursday that the search engine services of the company were down while others reported slow functioning of Copilot and ChatGPT search.

The Redmond-based company poured billions of dollars into AI services by establishing a startup OpenAI. Both companies employ each other’s services for the improvement of user experience as the tech race has entered into another level.

The outlet also reported that the search engine DuckDuckGo, which uses Bing API has also been disrupted. The private search engine is not owned by Microsoft.

Microsoft wrote in a post on X Thursday that it's "working to isolate the cause of the issue."

OpenAI also said on its status page that "ChatGPT's ability to search the internet is being affected."

According to the publication, Bing was working properly without any hindrance including Copilot and ChatGPT.

But there was some trouble with DuckDuckGo's.
