Experts using 3D-printed skull-shaped instruments created the world’s terrifying scream similar to the Aztec Death Whistle, which is said to be the scariest in the history of human beings.
According to an Metro UK report, it was used in spiritual ceremonies.
Scientists used the fragments discovered in Mexico in the late 20th century to build the skulls.
A YouTuber by the name of James Orgill, who produces science-based videos was quoted by the outlet: "This has been deemed the most terrifying sound in the world. Believe it or not, this is not a human scream. The sound that the death whistle makes innately strikes fear into your heart.”
Further revealing about the discovery, Orgill also said: "Archaeologists first thought that this must be some sort of toy and they didn’t think much about it."
"It wasn’t until 15 years later for some reason a scientist blew into the hole in the top of it and this is the sound that came out. It was a startling discovery because it sounded like a screaming human."
One of the beliefs goes that the Aztecs might have held that the noise assisted in carrying a person’s soul to the afterlife once they had been sacrificed, while others say it was used to terrify the enemies.
