CAPE TOWN: Pakistan resumed its second innings Sunday with a lead of 112 for 3 at close yesterday in the second test against South Africa here, Geo News reported.
Earlier, South Africa in reply to Pakistan’s first innings score of 338 fought back to reach 326 all out, narrowing Pakistan’s lead to 12 runs only.
Pakistan yesterday beginning its second innings had made 100 for 3, thus raising the lead to 112.
Pakistan lost their first three second innings wickets for 45 runs. At that stage South Africa were slightly on top but Azhar Ali and captain Misbah-ul-Haq shared a largely cautious unbeaten partnership of 55 to see Pakistan through to the close without further loss.
