Bryan Freeman is Justin Baldoni's attorney and he blasted Ryan Reynolds for purportedly mocking his client in Deadpool & Wolverine.
His remarks come in the wake of online discussion over how a deleted scene in the Marvel film could be a dig by the Green Lantern star against the It Ends With Us actor.
Meanwhile, his lawyer on the Megyn Kelly Show said there's "no question it relates to Justin," adding the "hair bun" and "the comment about the pregnancy," saying it's "pretty obvious what's being done."
The scene in question sees Ryan as Deadpool and a Variant named Nicepool with a man bun — which some would say was a reference to Justin’s old hairstyle — the variant made what was believed to be a sexist comment about Ladypool, played by Blake.
“Oh my goodness, wait til you’ve seen Ladypool. She is gorgeous. She just had a baby too and [you] can’t even tell,” Nicepool said.
Deadpool responded, “I don’t think you’re supposed to say that.” In reaction, Nicepool said, “That’s OK. I identify as a feminist.”
This, Justin's attorney believed this to be a reference to his client as he blasted the 48-year-old for his insincerity in the context of allegations his wife leveled.
"What I make of that is that if your wife is sexually harassed, you don't make fun of Justin Baldoni,” he continued.
“You don't make fun of the situation. You take it very seriously, you file HR complaints, you raise the issue and you follow a legal process. What you don't do is mock the person and turn it into a joke."
"But again, if somebody is seriously sexually harassed, you don't make fun of it. It's a serious issue," Bryan concluded.
