David Schwimmer, an American actor, sat down for an interview with People where he opened up about a recent injury.

The veteran star has been in the process of filming for his new anthology series Goosebumps: The Vanishing, when he came to the realization that he had grown older.

“There was a day filming Goosebumps that required doing a stunt over and over,” he explained, “I get spun on the stool sitting at my desk and yanked forward. I didn’t really hurt myself, but the next day I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not longer 22.’”

Schwimmer is now 58 years old, first rising to fame through his role on the sitcom Friends.

He stated that he felt discomfort all over his body after the incident, his back in particular, “We rehearsed it and practiced, and I did it a bunch of times and [I felt] fine. And then the next day I was like, okay, that's why [my body] hurts.”

He also discussed his gratitude towards the new fans of Friends, “Earlier today when someone was asking about the 30th anniversary of Friends. It just brings up a lot of gratitude for me that people are still discovering the show and still finding it funny and comforting after so many years.”

Goosebumps: The Vanishing is now streaming on Hulu as well as Disney+.
