Louis Tomlinson makes important announcement for Aussie fans

Louis Tomlinson had fans wondering what major announcement he was about to make when his appearance on The Smallzy Show was teased.

While some fans suspected it could involve his Away From Home Festival, the singer had something else in store.

During his appearance on the KIIS Network show on Tuesday, September 15, the former One Direction star revealed that he is searching for an Australian artist to join him as a support act on the Australian leg of his How Did We Get Here? tour.

And this isn't just a call for applications from any established name. Louis is specifically looking for an up-and-coming Australian artist who can bring something memorable to the stage.

“I'd like, you know, just someone who's fun,” he explained. The Lemonade singer said he wants someone who is willing to be brave with their live performance and, artistically, is “a little bit different” and “a little bit interesting.”

The opportunity will see selected Australian acts perform alongside the X Factor alum during his upcoming shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Rather than choosing one artist for the entire Australian run, the search is looking for different local acts for the individual shows.
