Brooke Shields reveals plans for milestone birthday ahead

Brooke Shields has revealed her plans for her upcoming milestone 60th birthday.

Shields, who’s promoting her new memoir Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, said she’ll spend the birthday with her female friends.

Speaking from the stage at the Flow Space presents An Evening with Brooke Shields event in New York City, she said: “I have friends that I laugh like that with. I have my boozy friends, I have my granola friends. They each serve a different part of my soul and psyche.”

“I used to think they all had to know each other,” the Pretty Baby alum continued. “They all had to love each other. They all had to be best friends.”

However, with time she realized that putting them together “was just torture” and she could enjoy separately with each group.

So, the Mother of the Bride star will spend quality time with separate groups of pals.

“I don't have to do that for my 60th birthday year,” the star said of a big party with all her friends. “It's in May, but I'm going to take the whole year. I don't want a party again. I'm going to do something special with groups of friends.”

“I'm going to try to take experiences that I really want to have and spend the time and the money on them,” she said. “And just celebrate the year of this big year that I'm walking through.”
