Taran Killam, an American actor and comedian, had to back off from a major project due to losing his home in the Palisades fires, according to People.
Previously having been chosen to star in the off-Broadway production of Urinetown, the New York City Center announced the news, "Unfortunately, Taran Killam, previously announced to play the role of Lockstock, has been impacted by the devastating fires in Los Angeles and is no longer able to participate in the production.”
Greg Hildreth will be taking on the part as the replacement for the character, Officer Lockstock, being joined by other stars such as Josh Breckenridge, Jenni Barber, Christopher Fitzgerald, Yeman Brown and more.
The actor had previously shown his joy over joining the production, taking to Instagram to reveal a picture of himself with his now former co-stars.
"This'll be cool,” he wrote in the caption.
He and his wife, Colbie Smulders’ house was one of the many that have been lost since the fires began on 7 January, due to bizarrely strong winds.
Taran Killam also shared resources on his Instagram for the aid of people suffering due to the wildfires, “@savethechildren and @projectcampla are doing amazing work to support children and families who have been affected by the CA wildfires. If you need childcare or trauma care for your child register for a camp spot now, link is in my bio.”
