Anne Burrell, the Food Network Star, died at the age of 55.
The chef, known for her hosting in Worst Cooks in America, passed away on Tuesday Morning, June 17, at her home in Brooklyn, New York.
"Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered," a statement by her family read, via People.
"Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal," the obituary continues.
The culinary expert with iconic spiky platinum hair is survived by her children Isabella, Amelia, and Nicolas, her husband Stuart Claxton, with whom she tied the knot in October 2021, and her sister Jane as well as brother Ben.
Burrell began her career in culinary as a sous chef at Food Network’s Iron Chef America in the early 2000s. Later her show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, which premiered in 2008 and ran for nine seasons, was nominated for an Emmy.
Her most recent project premiered in March 2025, the competition series, House of Knives.
