Balochistan Governor Zulfikar Magsi resigns

QUETTA: Governor Zulfikar Ali Magsi has resigned from his office and forwarded his resignation to President Asif Ali Zardari, Geo News reported.

The resignation of Zulfikar Ali Magsi came after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif earlier today announced that the next governor of Balochistan from Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party.

Nawaz Sharif also announced to announced to nominate National Party leader Abdul Malik Baloch as its candidate for chief minister post in Balochistan.

Earlier, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting to deliberate on naming the Balochistan Chief Minister. Awami Party leader Mir Hasil Bezinjo and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai were also present in the meeting.
