David Beckham was among thousands of people who reacted to King Charles and Prince William's joint appearance at the West Minster Abbey on Friday.
According to the royal family, Prince William was installed as Great Master of the order at Westminster Abbey.
"Celebrating the 300th anniversary of Order of the Bath. For three centuries, the order has recognised exceptional military and civil achievements across the UK and the Commonwealth," read the statement that accompanied multiple pictures and videos from the event.
It said, "The Prince of Wales was installed as Great Master of the order and five new Knights Grand Cross took their oaths during the event at Westminster Abbey."
The order was established by George I in 1725, though its origins go back to medieval times when part of the ceremony of knighthood included a ritual bath symbolic of spiritual purification.
Thousands of people shared their thoughts in the comments section of an Instagram post on the Prince and Princess of Wales' official account, showering praises on the future king.
Although the former footballer did not write a comment, he was prominent among those who liked the royal family's post.
