David Beckham, who shares a close bond with King Charles and the royal family, has reacted to the new title of Prince William.
Prince William received the Great Master title from King Charles, who held it for decades as the Prince of Wales.
King Charles and Prince William attended the Order of the Bath Service at Westminster Abbey on Friday to mark the Order's 300th anniversary year.
Later, taking to Instagram, Kensington Palace released a big statement with photos of King Charles and Prince William from the ceremony.
The post reads, “Celebrating the 300th anniversary of Order of the Bath. For three centuries, the order has recognised exceptional military and civil achievements across the UK and the Commonwealth.”
It further said, “The Prince of Wales was installed as Great Master of the order and five new Knights Grand Cross took their oaths during the event at Westminster Abbey.”
The order was established by George I in 1725, though its origins go back to medieval times when part of the ceremony of knighthood included a ritual bath symbolic of spiritual purification.
Fans and friends flooded the comment section with sweet messages.
