French rapper Werenoi passes away hours before his performance

French rapper Werenoi has passed away at the age of 31.

The rapper, whose real name is Jeremy Bana Owana, tragically died on May 17th just hours before his performance.

As reported by several media outlets, Werenoi was rushed to hospital hours before his scheduled performance at Azar Club in Lyon. He died after suffering from severe cardio-respiratory arrest.

The rapper’s music producer confirmed the tragic death on X (Formerly Twitter).

“Rest in peace, my brother, I love you!!!” he wrote.

Following the death of French rapper Werenoi fans poured their heartfelt tributes for the late star with one user stating, “It reminds us that all this money, this life, this luxury - well, the day we are no longer there is nothing, let's make the most of life, may God protect you all.”

Notably, the details of the funeral are yet to be disclosed.
