Harrison Ford recently expressed his feelings for his costar, Michael J. Fox, as they gear up for Shrinking season 3.

The 82-year-old legendary Hollywood actor caught up with PEOPLE magazine while attending the Shrinking FYC Event at Apple TV+ Emmy House, The Hollywood Athletic Club, in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 18, and discussed Fox’s inclusion in the third season of Shrinking.

Ford quipped, “His willingness to be part of our show is a great source of inspiration and gives us a real purpose.”

He added, “It's not just us coming together, two actors. There's a story to tell, and our commitment to the story is what joins us together. I appreciate his willingness to be a part of the show.”

Notably, Ford plays the role of Dr. Paul Rhodes, a therapist practising mental health therapy while dealing with his own Parkinson’s diagnosis in Shrinking.

For the unversed, as per the National Institute of Ageing, Parkinson’s is a “brain disorder that causes unintended or uncontrollable movements, such as shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and coordination.”

The disease aggravates as time passes, and some patients face “mental and behavioral changes, sleep problems, depression, memory difficulties, and fatigue.”

Reflecting on this, Ford shared that Fox is “pleased” the Apple TV+ series is “bringing Parkinson’s more into the light” after being diagnosed with the same disease in 1991 at the age of just 29.

Following his diagnosis, Fox has spent his whole life spreading awareness and raising money to help those fighting the disease.

Before concluding, it is pertinent to mention that Michael J. Fox’s role in Shrinking season 3 has yet to be shared.
