Britney Spears was schooled on a recent flight over a violation of regulations.
The Princess of Pop, 43, was returning to Los Angeles from her Cabo San Lucas vacation when she lit a cigarette during the flight.
The flight attendants on the charter plane took notice and insisted that the drinking singer put out the cigarette. Although she complied, authorities were contacted mid-flight.
Upon landing, Spears was confronted by the authorities at the LAX airport and issued a warning over the violation of federal aviation regulations.
However, an insider claimed that "this is not her first warning."
"She doesn’t exactly follow the rules," the source told People Magazine.
Spears was under a conservatorship for 13 years following mental health concerns after several alarming incidents in the early 2000s. Her father Jamie served as the conservator of her estate.
However, she successfully petitioned the court to terminate the conservatorship in November 2021 before marrying Sam Asghari, who divorced her two years later.
Since the conservatorship ended, Spears has released her best-selling memoir, The Woman in Me.
