Halle Berry is shutting down criticism about her recent intimate video with her boyfriend Van Hunt.
The Oscar-winning actress, 58, addressed the viral video in the Wednesday episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, denying any regrets about the one backlash.
“Women, other women, got in their feelings,” the co-host lamented as she recalled the remarks of her fans.
"Was it right for her to be in her bed talking about spinning with her man?’ Yes! And they were saying, ‘Should she be talking about that on Mother’s Day? Shouldn’t she be with her kids somewhere?’” the actress noted.
The actress then refused to be apologetic about her unconventional approach to celebrating the occasion.
“First of all, it’s not Kid’s Day. It’s called Mother’s Day,” Berry quipped. “Kid’s Day is every day of the year. That’s my day. And if I wanna be in bed and spin with my man, then that’s what I’m gonna do.”
Berry used the term “spin” to tease a female lubricant product called “Let’s Spin” on her respin website, which she teased in the racy video.
She continued, “It’s the most natural thing that we do as women, as men, and for people to be offended by that, saying Instagram is a family channel, yeah, and we should be allowed to talk about this in our families,” Berry said of the romantic encounter.
“It’s the most natural thing we do. Men do it. Women do it,” she added of any sexual encounter.
The mother of two added that she and Hunt were under the sheets and viewers “saw nothing” in the video.
In addition to the video, Berry also posted a Mother’s Day throwback pic with Nahla and Maceo-Robert at the time, writing, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the glorious moms around the world! Today, I celebrate the beautiful chaos, the deep love, and the profound privilege of motherhood. These two mean everything to me [red heart emoji]”
