Scarlett Johansson reveals 'Jurassic World Rebirth' connection with 1993 'Jurassic Park'

Scarlett Johansson has just now opened up about how Jurassic World Rebirth has a connection with the original Jurassic Park.

The Black Widow actress appeared on the green carpet alongside Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jonathan Bailey, and Gareth Edwards to promote their upcoming movie.

At the premiere, the Hollywood actress candidly discussed what fans can expect from the movie.

Referring to Jurassic Park’s director, Steven Spielberg, as per Cover Magazine, she said, “So I think it really is a love letter to Steven's work. Fans of the Jurassic universe can expect to really feel the DNA of the original Jurassic Park in this film."

Recalling when she watched the 1993 Jurassic Park, Johansson told the outlet, “It’s one of the first films I remember seeing in the theatre. I remember seeing it so vividly. It was life-changing. It was mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am.”

Highlighting the original movie’s writer David Koepp, who returned to the franchise after 30 years, she continued, “The script is so incredible. David Koepp wrote it. He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He’s so passionate about it, which is so awesome.”

“I have been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years. I’m like, ‘I’ll die in the first five minutes! I can get eaten by whatever! I’ll do the craft service!’ I’ll do anything for it,” Scarlett Johansson added before quitting the chat.

Jurassic World Rebirth is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2025.
