American Pie star Tara Reid drink-spiking case gets major development

American Pie star Tara Reid's drink-spiking case took a new turn as investigation led to more results.

Reid was rushed to hospital after collapsing in DoubleTree hotel bar in Rosemont, Illinois.

She claimed her drink had been spiked.

Footage from the hotel November 22 showed her slumped in a wheelchair.

The newly released 911 audio revealed staff described her as ‘really inebriated’ and unable to sit upright.

Seeing her in that condition, the hotel employee called emergency service worried she might fall and injure herself.

The staff referred to her as ‘guest’ and a ‘celebrity’.

In the recording, a hotel worker repeatedly tried to get Reid’s attention, but she could only mumble incoherently.

Dispatch notes later referred to her as ‘the intoxicated female’ found lying in the hallway.

Prior the recent finding, the Rosemont Police reported after reviewing security footage from the bar that there was no evidence of anyone tampering with her drink.

The police noted that a bartender covered her glass when she stepped outside, calling it routine practice.

Reid rejected these findings insisting that she had been drugged.

She emphasized ‘no one ends up in the hospital incapacitated for over 8 hours after a drink.’

Currently further investigation is being conducted.
