Taylor Swift broke record after record in 2025, outshining even her own records, after the release of her album The Life of a Showgirl.

Although Swift’s 12th studio album was received with mixed reactions from fans and music enthusiasts, it has been a great hit according to the charts.

The Eras Tour performer, 35, was earlier revealed to be the most-streamed female artist globally on Spotify, and her song The Fate of Ophelia has now earned her a new honour.

The hit single from the album, which has not left the Billboard 100 list since its release, received a nod on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Best Songs of 2025.

The 14-time-Grammy winner’s song appeared on the 8th spot of the yearly roundup, and the outlet praised the song, calling it her "biggest Swiftspearean drama since Love Story, rewriting Hamlet the way her teenage self rewrote Romeo and Juliet."

They detailed that the pop superstar switched her earlier “country twang” with her “synth-pop” style that was characteristic of her album 1989.

Quoting Swift herself, they cheekily wrote, "That’s just her way of keeping it one hundred on the land, the sea, the sky," referring to her The Fate of Ophelia lyric.

The Anti-Hero hitmaker has also made her mark on cinema records this year after crowds lined up at the release of her Official Life of a Showgirl Release Party.
