Daniel Craig ‘The Golden Compass' gets shocking Tubi setback

Daniel Craig’s The Golden Compass is getting attention again as fans have just a short time left to watch the fantasy movie for free.

The 2007 film is now streaming on Tubi, but it will leave the service on October 1.

The Golden Compass is about Lyra, a young girl who lives in a world very different from ours. In her world, people have animal friends called daemons.

When children start to disappear, Lyra goes looking for her missing friend as her journey soon takes her into a much bigger and more dangerous story.

Craig plays Lord Asriel, Lyra’s uncle. Nicole Kidman, Sam Elliott and Ian McKellen are also part of the cast.

The movie, however, is based on Philip Pullman’s book Northern Lights. It made around like $372 million around the world as it was made for $180 million.

The film did not get great reviews from critics. It has a 41% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Still, it won an Oscar for its visual effects.

The timing is interesting for Craig, as he is about to return to the world of fantasy.

The actor will appear in Netflix’s new Narnia movie, Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew as he will play Uncle Andrew.

The movie will reach cinemas in February 2027 before arriving on Netflix in April.
