‘Expedition Impossible': Tim Boyle offers $3 billion to anyone who can prove Earth is flat

Columbia Sportswear Company CEO Tim Boyle has presented flat earthers with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win a $3 billion company.

Boyle announced that he’ll award his whole family business to the person who finds the edge of the planet and brings him a real photograph of the supposed abyss beyond it.

The CEO himself is worth $1.6 billion; however, his family's business, which has been running since 1938, is worth $3 billion.

The new marketing campaign, officially titled “Expedition Impossible,” features Boyle walking around Columbia Sportswear’s headquarters.

Boyle said, “This message is for flat Earthers, you guys claim there’s an end to the Earth. Well, just go snap a picture and send it to us.”

He continued, “We will give all the assets of the company, all of it, without any paperwork or legal issues. No catches.”

Despite announcing the prize, the company has ensured it doesn’t get fooled. Columbia clarified that they want a picture showing the physical end of the Earth, adding, “We will not accept normal cliff-top or cul-de-sac pictures.”

With advances in science, experts have amassed substantial evidence that Earth is not flat; however, some still believe the conspiracy theory that the evidence is fabricated, illegitimate, or fake.

The latest evidence was captured by civilian astronauts in April, which showed the planet’s curvature from space.
