Jennifer Eckhart, former Fox producer who accused Ed Henry of rape, dies by suicide at 36

Former Fox News staffer Jennifer Eckhart died at 36, authorities in Florida confirmed.

She was found dead inside her residence in Hobe Sound on Saturday, September 19, according to a spokesperson from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

The death of Jennifer Eckhart was determined by the to be a suicide. The exact cause of death has not been revealed yet.

Eckhart worked approximately seven years for Fox and also held the position of associate producer for Fox Business.

In 2020, Jennifer Eckhart became well-known nationally when she filed a lawsuit claiming former Fox News host Ed Henry raped her and subjected her to sexual abuse.

Henry denied Jennifer Eckhart's claims, stating he did nothing wrong and that their encounter was consensual.

Following Eckhart's complaint to Fox about Henry, and after an independent investigation, the channel terminated Henry in July 2020.

Fox stated that the management did not receive any prior sexual harassment complaints lodged against Henry. She also named Fox News in her lawsuit; however, the channel was later dropped from the case.

Following a lengthy litigation process, Eckhart’s lawsuit against Henry was settled and then she shifted her focus toward assisting other individuals who were experiencing trauma through animal assisted therapy.

She founded The Reinvented Project, a non-profit organization focusing on providing support to survivor, Eckhart started the podcast "Reinvented" with Jen Eckhart.
