Diddy appealed court to release him from prison while serving a four-year sentence for prostitution-related charges.
The 56-year-old rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, reached out through his legal team, claiming that punishment is very unfair that he couldn’t take it anymore.
The rapper is currently held at FCI Fort Dix after being transferred from MDC-Brooklyn in October.
Diddy is in a special drug treatment unit and is not eligible for release until 2028.
The I’ll Be Missing You rapper was found not guilty of more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking.
His lawyers said the judge still used evidence from those charges when deciding his punishment, explaining that this made his sentence much longer than normal.
For the unversed, Diddy is now in a special unit at Fort Dix where he gets help for drug issues and follows prison rules.
He has been keeping a lowkey profile and taking part in programs to stay busy and improve himself.
Even in prison, the rapper keeps in touch with his team and plans for life after release.
Moreover, friends said that he is focused on music, business and getting ready for his future.
Fans and legal observers are closely watching the appeal, which could change Diddy’s prison term.
