Buckingham Palace, after previously noting that it would no longer comment on Prince Harry’s ongoing security case, is seemingly shifting the attention back to the royal family as senior royals get back to work.

There had been buzz surrounding not only the much-awaited verdict from the UK Home Office about Harry’s taxpayer-funded police protection amid reports that the Duke of Sussex plans to invite the royal family, especially King Charles, to the upcoming 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

Speculation about the Sussexes return to the UK was escalating, when the Princess Royal stepped in to support the monarchy after a challenging year

Princess Anne, who is the President of Carers Trust, released a meaningful statement via the Buckingham Palace.

“The last year has, once again, been challenging for carers,” she wrote. “Many people around the country are struggling with the demands of their caring role, unable to access respite and feeling isolated and exhausted.”

She continued, “Carers are the backbone of our society, giving service to friends and family; a service given out of love despite the high price in terms of their own financial and emotional wellbeing.”

The King’s sister highlighted the achievements of the past year, noting that the trust now “covers about 85% of the country” and delivers “a range of powerful programmes and renewing efforts to build the sustainability of services at local level”.

Anne noted of the “life-changing support” and expressed her delight over the progress they have made to “create better and fairer futures for young carers”.

The Princess Royal, who is a dedicated working member of the royal family, still holds cordial ties with her nephew. Previously, it was reported that Harry has plans to invite royal members to Invictus Games, which could also include Anne.

However, she is still a stickler for rules and does not sugarcoat her opinions, especially if it puts royal tradition and monarchy at risk.

It is possible that Anne saw the growing guesswork around the King and his son, and decided it was time the focus was back on the royal work rather than family drama.
