Charli XCX steps back from Taylor Swift feud with key move

Taylor Swift and Charli XCX have a long and dramatic history together but the BRAT hitmaker seems to be distancing herself from the narrative.

The 33-year-old pop superstar has refused to comment on Swift’s diss track Actually Romantic which is believed to be about her, and taking it one step further she has now declared a final stop to the drama.

The Apples songstress went on a social media cleanse, with an unfollowing spree where she unfollowed most of the famous people she had been following and removed more than a thousand accounts on Instagram.

Swift was also a part of the unfollowing spree which seemed to be a telling move amid their long ongoing feud.

The move was quickly caught on by the social media sleuths who added fuel to the flame, with one writing, “she was following her this whole time? Wow.”

Another Swiftie wrote, “Wants to be taylor so bad that the closest thing she can do similar to her is having 0 following,” while a Charli fan claimed, “thank god charli is saved.”

An X user wrote, “That’s so romantic!!!!,” referring to Swift’s song Actually Romantic, while one asserted, “Stop spreading rumors, she unfollowed everyone.”

Despite the drama being long ongoing, the two pop superstars have avoided discussing it directly except for indirect allusions in songs.
