Lewis Capaldi is celebrating a huge milestone in both his personal and professional life.

On Saturday, June 27, the Grammy-nominated musician officially marked one year since he returned to music after announcing a hiatus in 2023 due to mental health issues.

Taking to his Instagram, Capaldi shared a series of pictures from the stage along with a heartfelt note.

“One year back in the saddle and from getting back on stage at Glastonbury to now what a year it’s been,” Capaldi, 29, wrote.

Celebrating by playing to 70 thousand people in Exeter over the next two days. Thanks for everything my guys,” he added.

After his Glastonbury 2023 performance, the Someone You Loved hitmaker released a statement confirming that he will be stepping back from music.

“I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I’d hoped 3 weeks away would sort me out,” he wrote.

“But the truth is I’m still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette’s and on Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time.”

After a long break, Capaldi finally returned to music with his single, Survive, released June 27, 2025.

That same day, he also returned to the Glastonbury stage, and he’s shown no signs of slowing down since.
