Savannah Guthrie pleads with abductors to 'do the right thing' as family waits in agony

Today show host Savannah Guthrie has made another appeal on social media following her 84-year-old mother Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.

Nancy Guthrie disappeared at her $1 million Tucson home in Arizona on the night of January 31, 2026.

The video post, shared by Savannah on Monday, July 27, made a direct appeal to the possible kidnappers, saying, “I’m asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now.

“Help us find her—tell us where to look for her.”

Speaking through tears in latest video, she said, “It has been months since our mum was taken from us.

“Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed.”

“We have done our part, and we will never stop looking for her.”

In the days following Nancy Guthrie's disappearance, multiple media outlets claimed to have received ransom notes, claiming she had died, investigators believe.

It was one of the two ransom notes that were believed to be authentic that were addressed to Nancy Guthrie’s agonising family and forward to local U.S. media outlets.

The first demanded millions in Bitcoin for her release; the second claimed she had died.

Amid intensified searches by law enforcement agencies, there have been no traces found as to what actually happened to Nancy Guthrie.
