Late U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, a veteran politician and top advisor to President Donald Trump on foreign affairs, will be laid to rest this week after a series of ceremonies, a state-level send-off usually reserved for presidents.

The 71-year-old South Carolina senator, who also served in the military for 33 years, is being honoured in services across Washington and his home state for two days, Tuesday and Wednesday.

President Trump, 80, will deliver remarks in honour of his closest and apparently most-loyal ally at the service at Washington National Cathedral. His funeral will follow at the Cathedral at 2:00 p.m.

The events are private; however, both will be livestreamed. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are also expected to be in attendance during the service. You can watch the live streams of the late Senator Lindsey Graham's funeral services through several official and major news platforms.

US Vice President JD Vance, in a tribute to Senator Graham, described the late politician as the “funniest member” of the Senate with a “larger-than-life” presence.

This comes after a report by Washington Post suggested that the sudden death of the senator, 10 years younger than Trump, has the president musing over his own mortality.

Earlier, in an interview with NBC News, Trump expressed sorrow over the sudden demise of his friend, stating, “I just can’t believe it.” In a separate interview, he honoured the late senator by describing him as “workaholic” and someone who just “didn’t stop.”

Senator Graham suddenly died on July 11, 2026, due to an aortic dissection caused because of arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
