King Charles to make ‘impossible' decision as Archie, Lilibet's future on the line

King Charles, who had ‘welcomed’ Prince Harry and Meghan’s decision to move back to Britain, has serious concerns as he faces an impossible conundrum.

While is the monarch of the British throne, he is also a doting grandfather of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. He had been hoping to build a close relation with his grandchildren, more so after his cancer diagnosis in 2024.

Hence, Charles has been able to show an open mind about the situation. Just as things were moving in a peaceful direction, Prince Harry’s fight for security is once again causing a legitimate issue for Charles.

Even though Archie and Lilibet are not children of working royals, they are still the ‘King’s grandchildren’ and in the line of succession.

A source revealed to The Telegraph that Charles is in a tough spot.

“Obviously, the King is in an impossible position,” they added. “He cannot intervene, or be seen to apply pressure, in a way that could be construed as constitutionally overstepping.”

They added that it does not erase the fact that Charles is very concerned about Harry and his family.

“But one would imagine he is as concerned as anyone that his son – and, in particular, his grandchildren – are not receiving any form of police protection despite being fifth, sixth and seventh in line to the throne. The situation is untenable.”

Harry now hopes taxpayer-funded security will be reinstated but Ravec appears to be stalling the process.
