What's new on Apple iOS 27? Here are all features

Apple has introduced iOS 27 with all-new Siri AI with more natural conversations, personal context, screen awareness, multi-step task support, writing assistance, and improved visual intelligence.

Apart from that, the newly introduced features of iOS 27 are AI-powered photo editing, spatial reframing, improved cleanup, camera intelligence, redesigned liquid glass controls, customizable opacity, redesigned icons, extra-large widgets, Lock Screen changes, and more granular volume controls for ringtones, alarms, timers, alerts, and system sounds.

For a safer phone, other updates include new child-safety and parental controls, AirDrop, and RCS improvements and refinements to Safari, Messages and Mail, accessibility, greater personalisation, and performance enhancements.

Siri AI is initially going to be released in a beta version on devices using English language settings. According to the company, other languages such as French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish will come to support Siri in October. The new design was supposed to help make Siri smarter and more useful through expanded AI capabilities.

iOS 27 comes with some other visual and usability upgrades. A Liquid Glass opacity slider feature has been included for changing interface opacity from transparent to frosted. Icons are being updated for built-in applications, along with large-sized widgets and more controls for system sounds like ringtones, alarms, timers and alerts.

The operating system will be launched along with the new iPhone series, which includes the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. iOS 27 can be installed on the iPhone 11 series and above, as well as second-generation and later iPhone SE.
