Meta Platforms’ new AI agent, Muse, has turned out to be a huge success, driving the company’s stock up more than 20% since its September 8 launch.
The AI agent has added over $200 billion in market capitalization.
Behind its success is its approach that goes beyond answering questions. Muse is an AI assistant that can send emails, book travel, fill out forms, and complete transactions such as selling a car on a user’s behalf.
The basic version is free of cost, with subscriptions priced at $20 and $100 per month for premium users. For now, it is rolled out in the U.S. and Canada only.
The stats revealed that the Muse clocked 2.8 million downloads in first 12 days. This outpaced ChatGPT’s early adoption of 1.3 million during the same window. Following a heavy user download rate, the app overtook ChatGPT as the top free iOS app in the U.S. on Friday, September 18.
Wall Street has turned decisively bullish, with analysts suggesting that Muse has the potential to become one of the most widely adopted consumer AI apps since ChatGPT due to its strong product-market fit and Meta’s massive distribution reach.
Following this, Meta shares rose over 11%, along with boosting chipmakers like AMD that surpassed a $1 trillion valuation for the first time.
Besides this, challenges loom as Amazon has blocked Muse from accessing its shopping site, claiming privacy and security risks. Meta Platforms’ new AI agent, Muse, has turned out to be a huge success, driving the company’s stock up more than 20% since its September 8 launch.
