Princess Kate makes last minute change for William amid Sussex tensions

Prince William and Princess Catherine have taken an important step to protect their positions in the monarchy and that also includes the next stage for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Palace has been relying on the Prince and Princess of Wales as King Charles’s reign faces a major PR crisis, especially now that the Sussexes are back in Britain. The onslaught of controversies and past wounds have determined a fool’s proof strategy for the royals.

According to royal expert Duncan Larcombe, Kate and William delivered a crucial message to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with their recent appearance.

Following their summer break, the Prince and Princess of Wales carried out their first joint engagement to mark World Suicide Prevention Day at the home of Everton Football Club in Liverpool.

It was interesting that Catherine had decided to join in when that was not originally part of the plan. It was not just “another official engagement carried out by the two most popular members of the Royal Family” but it was “regal equivalent” of flexing their power.

“William and Kate clearly want to ensure they take centre stage as they brace for Harry and Meghan to make their next move,” the expert said.

“By joining her husband at the event, Kate was in effect throwing down the gauntlet to her brother- and sister-in-law, now that they have returned to the UK.”

He explained that this also a “signal” to the “next stage of the war of the Windsors”.
