Princes William, Harry forced to cross paths on ‘uneasy' matter: ‘truce'

Prince William and Prince Harry could very well be locking horns over an emotional project that they both have their heart set on.

Both princes have not been on speaking terms for years now but they have somehow found a way to honour their late mother, Princess Diana, in a civil way. However, Harry’s rumoured plans for a documentary seems to have triggered William into taking an action.

Royal experts have claimed that as the 30th death anniversary of Diana approaches, the “uneasy truce” between two brothers will be disrupted.

Harry and William both want to honour their mother “in the most meaningful way”, royal expert Richard Palmer said. Moreover, there was a time when William was “always at pains to condemn ay attempt to pit them against each other when it came to which brother carried the torch”.

It is reported by The Sunday Times that William turned down the opportunity to make a documentary when he was approached by Netflix.

Meanwhile, sources have claimed that Harry has been approaching friends of their late mother for a documentary. Meanwhile, Charles Spencer had also hinted that his nephew wants to make a film, but didn’t specify which one.

Royal expert Jennie Bond believes a documentary could be a risky move.

“Harry obviously has every right to mark the anniversary of his mother’s death in any way he sees fit, Bond said. “I’m sure the world would love to see another documentary about Diana, once the most famous woman in the world who remains an icon for many.”

Though she opined that if Harry does release a film, William will “maintain the dignified silence he has kept through all the bitterness of the past few years, including about the incendiary claims in Earl Spencer’s book”.

However, this will “deepen” the rift and it will only produce a result that Diana would never have wanted.
