Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen to star together in new sitcom 'Happy Jack'

Charlie Sheen is returning to television, teaming up with his father, Martin Sheen, to star in Happy Jack, a new multi-camera comedy series.

The six-episode first season will begin production in Los Angeles in early 2027, filmed in front of a live studio audience at the Warner Bros. lot, ahead of its premiere on AMC and AMC+.

Charlie Sheen stars as Jack Chambers, described in the show's logline as "a bit of a lifelong ne'er-do-well" with two adult daughters, Kate, who runs his company and keeps him in line, and Sam, a "wild child" who takes after her father. 

Martin Sheen plays Jack's own father, who had a significant hand in raising the two granddaughters. 

According to the official logline, Jack is ultimately forced to choose "whether to keep looking out for himself or use this last chance to be part of his daughters' lives."

The series marks the latest of several onscreen father-son pairings for the real-life Sheens, who've previously played father and son in Wall Street, the film Cadence (which Martin also directed) and the sitcom Anger Management. 

Happy Jack reunites Charlie Sheen with writers and co-showrunners Jim Patterson and Matt Ross, both former collaborators from Two and a Half Men and Netflix's The Ranch. 

Charlie Sheen also serves as an executive producer alongside Todd Christopher and The Tannenbaum Company's Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Jason Wang.

Reflecting on the project in a statement, Charlie Sheen said, "I've always heard the moments that truly matter happen when they're supposed to."
