Prince William may have brilliantly played his cards especially as Prince Harry had been regaining his spotlight once more after returning to Britain.
Princess Diana is a sensitive topic or both princes, who continue to carry the legacy of their late mother. The possibility of the Diana documentary ahead of her 30th death anniversary is a hot topic of discussion, including whether it would finally bring the estranged brothers.
A recent report claimed that there still might be some hope after Prince William made an emotional decision about his brother, despite his anger and the years-long feud.

William had refused to make a Diana documentary because he “refused to be pitted against his brother” after being approached by Netflix.
Although, a royal expert has claimed that there was more to that “secret meeting” and it has raised eyebrows among royal circles. They believe it could be an “incredibly shrewd play” rather than a brother’s heartfelt gesture.
There were talks between the Director-General of British broadcaster the BBC and the future king about it, but to make a Diana documentary, they don’t specifically need William’s approval.
“I suspect there is negotiations going on to see who is going to be allowed to make this film, what level of access they are going to be given to the Royal Archives, which friends of Diana’s are going to be given the nod to cooperate,” Daily Beast’s Tom Sykes said.
He added that William doesn’t want to be the “front man” of it and it’s “not appropriate, especially with your brother doing” it.
Sources have previously told Woman’s Day that the Duke of Sussex wants Meghan to be “heavily involved” in any TV tribute.
It is possibly one of the reasons why William may not want to be involved in any way.
On the other hand, royal editor Russell Myers noted that Harry and Meghan’s documentary efforts have not gotten down too well. After Harry & Meghan, none of the other documentaries made a splash like the first one.

“Archewell productions are apparently going to produce it, as they’ve got this sort of first look deal with Netflix,” the expert said.
“I mean the rest of the things they’ve been producing haven’t done too well. We had the Invictus documentary, we had the Polo documentary that absolutely bombed. And I just think this is beyond the pale for Harry to be saying ‘Well I’m going to do this now’.”
This potentially puts Harry in the line of fire of critics if this one does not go well, meanwhile, William sits back and watches.
