‘Sehat Ka Insaf’ programme launching in Peshawar today

PESHAWAR: The Three month Sehat Ka Insaf programme initiated by the provincial government will start today (Sunday) February 2 under which on every Sunday the vaccinators would vaccinate children up to the age of five against nine diseases amid total ban on bike riding to avoid any untoward incident.

According to notification issued here Saturday the Deputy Commissioner would personally supervise the programme while there would be total ban on bike riding from 8 am to 5 pm under section 144 on the day of vaccination.

The violators of the ban would be booked under section 188.

Similarly thousand of health volunteers would also distribute more than 200, 000 educational booklets during the door-to-door vaccination drive in the targeted areas.

The booklets contained important materials about precautionary measures against the nine fatal diseases. Thousands of health kits would also be distributed on the occasion. (APP)
