National Swimming C’ship to roll into action from Friday
ISLAMABAD: The National Swimming Championship 2014 will roll into action from Friday at the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Swimming Pool Complex.

Swimmers from all over the country will chip in the three day event President Pakistan Swimming Federation Major (Retd) Majid Waseem told APP on Wednesday.

He said after the conclusion of the championship the best lot of swimmers would be selected to undergo an intensive training programme in Doha Qatar.

He said both male and female swimmers would be sent to Doha to participate in the International Youth Swimming Training Camp scheduled to be held from June 17 to 29.

“We are delighted that Qatar has allowed our athletes to use their services designed to enable athletes to reach their maximum potential”, he added.

Waseem said that participation in the Swimming Training Camp in Doha would help in preparing strong outfits for the upcoming events including Commonwealth Swimming Championship and World Swimming Championships. (APP)
