Lahore Lions put Northern Knights into bat
RAIPUR: The blueprint had been laid last night and Mohammad Hafeez placed the onus on his four seamers again to give Lahore Lions a leg up in the qualification tussle. Northern Knights would not mind being put in, considering they won the HRV trophy by amassing huge totals in the first innings. Both teams, having won their opening matches in the CLT20, have decided to go in unchanged.

Daniel Flynn, the Knights captain, was confident of his batsmen's ability. Opener Kane Williamson handled a curtailed chase brilliantly, showcasing his game is well-suited for the shortest format as well. He and the rest of the line-up would be tested against Lions' rich and varied bowling. Adnan Rasool and Hafeez form a good spin partnership, while Wahab Riaz, Aizaz Cheema, Imran Ali and Asif Raza form a potent pace attack.

Lahore Lions: Nasir Jamshed, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez (captain), Saad Nasim, Umar Akmal (wk), Asif Raza, Umar Siddiq, Imran Ali, Aizaz Cheema, Adnan Rasool, Wahab Riaz

Northern Knights: Kane Williamson, Anton Devcich, Daniel Flynn (captain), Daniel Harris, Scott Styris, Daryl Mitchell, BJ Watling (wk), Scott Kuggeleijn, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Ish Sodhi.
