LAHORE: Senate election results have been challenged in the Supreme Court’s Lahore Registry, Geo News reported.
The petitioner, in the said plea, has urged the court to declare the results null & void for political parties have perpetrated record horsetrading in the polls held to elect members for the Upper House.
The petition also entreated with the court to dismiss the 20th constitutional amendment regarding appointment of acting chief minister and prime minister as the true power to decide on it lay with the people of Pakistan and not the election commission.
