LAHORE: Young doctors, deciding go back to strike by September 5, have said that they will continue their struggle in the face off all odds until their demands were met, Geo News reported.
Talking to a press conference here, Young Doctors Association (YDA) spokesman, Dr Saud Afzal said that they hold the judiciary in high esteem but the Punjab government did not honour court orders.
“We will fight until we get what we rightfully deserve, come what may, be it army or the courts”, said he.
Assuring YDA would not leave the patients in the lurch, he also made it clear that doctors’ protest would not interfere with the affairs of hospitals.
To a question, he said the doctors would give up on their demands if the District Management Group’s (DMG) salary structure were scaled down to the doctors’ level.
